HOC- House Of Hybrid Yokai Inspired from the original 'House of Cards' by Charles and Ray Eames back in 1953, my House of Cards focuses on Yokai in Japanese Folklore. Yōkai are a class of supernatural monsters and spirits in Japanese folklore. Instead of illustrating already existing yokai, I decided to combine two or more yokai with similar characteristics. This way I ended up combining their characteristics to create hybrid versions of these existing yokai. I then created hybrid names for them, and storylines for each based partly on exisiting folklore and partly my imagination.
