History of Art

The module engages the philosophical practice of art, using concepts from philosophy to engage manifestations of the image, through producing a thinking artist and more importantly, a thinking art connoisseur/student. The focus of the module is to enable the student to grasp the process behind the (artistic) product, even at the cost of celebrate process in order to open up a space: a space for manifesting absence in presence and presence in absence.
