Photography

We live in a world of glass, mirrors, cameras,screens and shadows. Take a series of photographs that illustrate your idea of "self" and "portrait". The final work is presented in the form of a triptych.Rinko Kawauchi’s Cui Cui inspired me to play with the exposure and to try and capture cool, desaturated photos.I wanted to mimic Elinor Carucci’sway of capturing natural flow of movements. I also incorporated a warm, red tone in some of my pictures after looking at certain pictures from her “diary of a dancer”. Other Inspirations are Lorna Simpson & James Luna.
